I was very interested in the exploration of what cultural components are essential for 21st century Buddhism; given that Buddhism across the world is already multicultural.From the black robes of a Zendo to the bright colors of the elements in Tibetan practice. There is diversity in iconography as well as methods and pathways: Sutric vs. Tantric etc. In the USA, its no secret we have technology influencing our culture perhaps more than we are aware. So what would Buddha do?

I enjoyed the Seattle visit, loved the book and am continuing to re-read it. I’m grateful for the depth and clarity of the teachings. Contemplating now: how one cultivates self-confidence and selflessness, simultaneously.

I really enjoy Rinpoche’s writings and teaching and they’ve been really helpful. I just wish he’d come to visit here in fly-over land. We’d really like to see him in the Twin Cities area or anywhere else around there.
