Scott Wellenbach has been a translator of the buddhadharma from Sanskrit and Tibetan for more than thirty years as a member of the Nalanda Translation Committee. He has been part of the leadership of Nitartha Institute since its founding in 1996. In 1998, he was appointed Co-director and currently serves as its Dean of Translation and Language Study.
Scott is a long-time student of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and has studied extensively with Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche, and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. He is a senior teacher within both the Shambhala and Nitartha Institute mandalas.
