Session 1: Taking Care of Our Mind
When our mind is happy, everything seems good. When our mind is not happy, everything seems difficult. What is the state of my mind right now and how do I take care of it?
Session 4: Simply Perfect
Mindfulness is simple; it should not be complicated. It means recollection and is a method that helps us recognize mind’s true nature, which is perfect. What am I trying to remember?
Session 2: Searching for Mind’s Nature
The nature of our mind is more accessible than we think. It is right here, right now. We don’t need to search anywhere else. If we try too hard, we miss it. How do I simply look?
Session 5: Two Types of Mindfulness
Conditioned mindfulness involves effort to cut through mental fixations. Effortless mindfulness is a profound practice but available to everyone. How do I practice effortless mindfulness?
Session 3: The Peekaboo Moment
We need mindfulness or present awareness to uncover the true nature of mind. Practicing mindfulness can lead us to a “peekaboo” moment. What is peeking out?
Session 6: Looking Inward
Practicing mindfulness from the outside in helps us know our mind and the stories it tells. Looking inward is key to living a fuller life, to transforming how we see ourselves and the world around us.
Meditation 1: Being Fully Present to Our Lives
Conditioned mindfulness meditation helps us become fully present in our lives. With practice, the natural qualities of mind — calmness, clarity, curiosity, kindness — are revealed and begin to shine.
Meditation 2: Looking at Mind Itself
With the foundation of conditioned mindfulness, we then turn attention inward to explore our mind. The two meditations are interdependent. Together, they positively impact the quality of our lives.
